Town Center MULTI-SPORT TURF FIELD
Targeting Construction for Summer 2025
The next FFK project will transform the grass field behind the Mamaroneck Town Center to a multi-sport turf field that will be used by the MHS teams and youth sports. Once renovated, this field will be lined for soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, and football programs.
Working with the Mamaroneck school district, the area will be leveled, slightly expanded and a new turf surface will increase its usability.
This improved space will also have a practice area, bleachers and benches.
AlmA MULTI-SPORT TURF FIELD
Construction underway, opening SPRING 2025
Fields For Kids is excited to partner with Flint Park Conservancy and the Village of Larchmont to renovate Alma field at Flint Park.
The new field will be expanded to become a regulation size, multi-sport field and now provide the opportunity to be split the into two smaller fields to maximize usage. Enhancements include improved fencing and spectator seating.
Construction began in November 2024 and is scheduled to be completed, on-schedule, in April 2025. FPC and the Village of Larchmont secured $1M in funding from Westchester County to initiate this Alma restoration project.
HOMMOCKS FIELDs
NEW MULTI-SPORT TURF & GRASS FIELDS
The Town of Mamaroneck is partnering with Fields for Kids to explore a redesign of the Hommocks Fields behind the middle school. As of July 2023, the feasibility study and conceptual design of the area has been completed. Once approved, the Town will further develop construction plans that maximize the use of the space for the community including youth sports and summer campers.

New basketball court, fitness area, obstacle course, and seating areas to replace the rear parking lot at Hommocks Middle School.

VILLAGE OF LARCHMONT COST: $1,607.000
The new home of Larchmont Mamaroneck Youth Baseball League has two new grass fields along with significant upgrades to the existing field for baseball and softball. Funding included $250,000 Westchester County grant.
2011: Memorial Field,
Mamaroneck High school COST: $1,550,000
Flagship field in school district was replaced with turf and upgraded with a modern seating, sound system and scoreboard. Funding included $250,000 NY State grant and $500,000 from MUFSD.
2008: ALMA Field,
Village of Larchmont COST: $1,550,000
The new Alexander Alma Memorial Field, refurbished Ruth Green Field, and tennis courts at Flint Park benefited from the original FFK partnership with the Village of Larchmont. Funding included Westchester County grant.
